Once it was agreed that OMC should have a foundation, the discussion shifted to its role in relation to the hospital and clinics in Rochester and OMC’s branch communities. OMC constituents, including members of each community in which OMC has a branch office, were invited and charged with generating ideas for the role of a foundation and developing its mission. The result of this session was more enthusiasm for the OMC Regional Foundation, with a mission to advocate for and support Olmsted Medical Center, and to assist it in funding quality healthcare services and education in the communities it serves.

The OMC Regional Foundation has a vision for the future. It will support needed healthcare services to your businesses, families, or neighbors requiring specific equipment or personnel, health and wellness education to everyone from youth to seniors, and programs stressing preventative healthcare in OMC communities. In addition, your OMC Regional Foundation will strive to connect with the citizens of the communities OMC serves, by being a bridge between OMC patients and healthcare providers.
